Ryo Hiza Kata Guruma

Ryo-hiza-kata-guruma - Two Kneed Shoulder Wheel

Ryo-hiza-kata-guruma is part of the kokusai-shiai-waza, and like many of the techniques in this part of the BJA gokyo, it is often easier to break the rather long name down to something shorter.

In this case, ryo-hiza (two knee/d) Kata-guruma (shoulder wheel). As you would imagine, this makes the throw Kata-guruma when on two knees. This sometimes happens in contest when tori attempts this throw against an uke that is waiting for the technique and resists. It is unlikely that someone would try and perform this technique on it's own.
