Much like O-uchi-gari, but this technique is performed with more of a 'ripping up' action with the leg, rather than the reaping of the O-uchi-gari. Indeed, gake can go to mean 'uprooting the tree', and in this technique it is needed. Once the leg is lifted you then need to direct your partner to the side that their leg was. |
