Morote-seoi-nage - Two Armed Shoulder Throw
Morote-seoi-nage is the same as Ippon-seoi-nage, with the one difference being that you do not let go of the lapel and place the other side of your armpit underneath the opponents armpit, producing a 'two armed' effect by having both your forearm and upper arm being able to lift your partner. This technique can be also known as Eri-seoi-nage (with the tsurite (fishing hand) on the opposite collar (becoming Morote-eri-seoi-nage when the hikite joins the tsurite on the collar), Nihon-seoi-nage and Seoi-goshi (except in this version, the technique has the roll of hips from O-goshi added). As with Ippon-seoi-nage, this technique is known as Seoi-nage in the Kodokan Gokyo. |
