Ko-uchi-gari countered by Harai-tsuri-komi-ashi

Ko-uchi-gari countered by Harai-tsuri-komi-ashi

This counter can work both sides.

1. The tori anticipates the Ko-uchi-gari attack as in the video above - if the Ko-uchi is too far through, it is unlikely that this technique would work. As the attack comes in, sweep for the Harai-tsuri-komi-ashi.

2. The Ko-uchi-gari attack is in, but this time the tori lifts the attacked foot and attacks themselves with the harai-tsuri-komi-ashi on the uke's supporting leg. This version can be seen in Kaeshi-kata and Gonosen-no-kata.
