An unfortunate event in some ways - the first grading that I, as
Sensei, was not able to attend, or more importantly be there to support the
Akitas Judokai. My sincere apologies! As I was not present, I obviously cannot report accurately on the day, therefore I'll
do my my best to convince one of the attendees to complete a better report...
In the absence of this, at the moment, a heartfelt and warm congratulations to the three entrants, Andreas Killi, Michael Haylett and Tony Dixon - all of whom climbed another rung on the Kyu ladder!
Over to roaving reporter Rebecca Haylett who was there on the day:
Today went well, it was harder and a better standard than last time. Every one, not just our 3 had hard fights. They all came away with a higher grade.
Michael- he had 3 fights and all were very hard. Not only did he come away with a higher grade than he came with but also a very bruised and sore nose. (But luckily it's not broken). He lost his first which he weren't to happy about, he tied the 2nd one, and won the last one.
Tony Dixon- he had 2 fights and was hard. He only came away with a grade which is good, no injuries. He tied his 1st fight and won his second. He came home being a higher grade than he came.
Andreas Killi-he had 2 fights and also was hard. He also came away with a higher grade and no injuries. He tied his 1st fight and won his 2nd...He did fight a bloke that was older than my dad n Tony.
Overall I think they were happy.
