What's New in the last week?!
27/8/08 - The week that will be the all as far as the technique pages are concerned - at least for the BJA syllabus techniques, that is! Videos now online for Kata-sode-ashi-tsuri-komi-goshi, Kata-sode-seoi-otoshi, Morote-kata-sode-tai-otoshi, Ryo-ashi-tomoe-nage, Ryo-hiza-kata-guruma and Yoko-otoshi.
27/8/08 - All descriptions and links to and from now added to the new techniques. The few remaining throws that need urgent recording will be uploaded shortly.
29/8/08 - Now ALL nage-waza is up for the Kyu grading syllabus. New videos are: Ko-tsuri-goshi, Mae-hiza-ura-nage, Nidan-ko-soto-gari, O-guruma, O-soto-guruma, O-tsuri-goshi, Soto-mata-seoi-otoshi, Tsuri-goshi and Ura-nage. Just need to sort the descriptions for them...
30/8/08 - All descriptions and links to the new techniques are now complete (including an extra technique of Kata-eri-sode-tsuri-komi-goshi), check the technique index. Will now be concentrating on the Ne-waza.
30/8/08 - All Osae-komi-waza now updated and included.
I'm still in the process of completing these pages, but most things are now working and all those nasty broken links should all be cleared. If you do find anything broken, or any other comments please let me know asap on sensei@akitasjudo.com. Enjoy!
When Akitas Judo Club opened in Southend, it was the only BJA Judo Club in
Southend-on-Sea; something that has now been built upon after our successful reintroduction of Judo into the area.
We endeavour to fit all needs
- from the humble beginner that is only interested in a small taste of
the Olympic Sport of Judo, to the experienced Judoka keen to further
themselves to fight for their country.
The club is now supported by three seperate locations, incorporating Akitas Southend Judo Club, Akitas Rayleigh Judo Club and Akitas Barling Magna Judo Club. We run four times a week, covering eight different sessions. We believe this is helping to further build Essex Judo, and in particular Southend Judo.
