British Judo will be running in partnership with Akitas Judo Clubs a SportsCoachUK Safeguarding & Protecting Children Workshop (SPC). This will be a judo specific course.

Incorporated into the workshop is basic orientation for the BJA's Long Term Player Development Plan (LTPD), this is designed to give coaches and parents and overview of the plan and provide information on more in-depth training resources.

This is a 4-hour workshop and will be a BJA coach revalidation event.

Places are strictly limited to 20 places per session. This course has proved very popular in the past and early booking is advisable.

The course fee includes all resources and certificates for both the SPC & LTPD.

Attendance at a SPC workshop is mandatory for all players looking to newly qualify as coaches. Exisiting coaches will need to have attended a SPC course in order to obtain the UK Coaching Certificate.

Tutor: Julie Moores - BJA Head of Member Services/Lead Child Protection Officer
